1. Surya Namaskar

Surya Namaskar or Sun salutations works on the whole body and the muscle group, keeping your body active, strengthening your skeletal system including ligaments and easing stress and anxiety. The 12 yoga poses combined to form Sun Salutations stimulates the metabolism of the body and promotes calorie burn.

2. Warrior Pose

The Warrior Pose or Veerabhadrasana involves the mountain pose, with one of your stretched leg back, and the other in a lunge position with the knee in ninety degrees, and your hand stretched right up your head perpendicular to the floor and parallel to each other.
The warrior pose strengthens and tones down your arms, shoulders, thighs and back muscles, and further increases your overall balance and stamina. It helps to stimulate abdominal organs increasing stamina and improves the blood circulation.

4. Boat Pose

Boat Pose is one of the power-packed mat exercises to tone your abs, Lie down on your back and get into the V shaped position that resembles the boat. Hold the position for ten seconds and let your knees be pulled up, thighs be tight and toes be pointed out while doing the pose. Boat pose boosts lower and upper body strength, and reduces belly fat.

5. Bridge Pose

Bridge pose is a gentle inversion that works a good stretch in opening up the chest, abdomen, neck, and spine. The thyroid gland gets massaged, as the chest is lifted upwards the chin, and it helps in calming the brain, reducing anxiety and stress. The asana helps tone down the arm and leg muscles; strengthen the abdominal muscles along with the hip flexors and spine. However, refrain from doing Setu Bandhasana if you are suffering from neck or back injuries.

6. Cobra Pose

Cobra Pose or Bhujangasana is great for weight loss as it helps you stretch the entire body right from the thorax to the abdomen, upper back, lower back and buttocks.
