Oat Meal face packs for Lightening and Glowing Skin

Oatmeal has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin healing properties that acts as an excellent moisturiser. The silica and amino acids aids to retain the natural moisture in the skin, and is great for acne-prone skin. Oatmeal can make skin softer, smoother, and glowing.

Oatmeal can be used as a cleanser, scrub as well as for anti-ageing, and several Companies manufacturers’ use Oatmeal in their skin care and health care.

Here are three Oats Face Packs for different Skin Types

1. For Dry Skin

Take three tablespoons of Oats and add half a tablespoon of Honey and a table spoon of raw Milk. Grind the mix by adding milk or water if required and make it a paste. Apply the pack on your face and neck and leave it for twenty minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water. It leaves your dry skin supple and moisturized. Alternatively, you can also use the pack as body bath.

2. For Oily Skin

To four tablespoons of Oats, add a tablespoon of lemon juice and a bit of water to make it a fine paste. Apply it all over your face and neck. Leave the mask till it dries up, and rinse off with cold water. Try this face pack twice a week to get glowing face. Alternatively, you can also add tomato juice to the pack to control the oil.

3. For Sensitive Skin

Take 4 Tables spoons of Oats, add two spoon of curd and a spoon of lemon juice and make it a fine paste, by adding a bit of water. Apply the pack on your face and neck. Let it dry for twenty minutes, Wash off with normal water massaging in circular motion on your face and neck. You can apply the pack to your body and wash it off while you bath for a nourishing and supple skin.

4. To Get rid of Wrinkles and Lines

To Get rid of Wrinkles and Lines, make a pack of 2 teaspoonful of oatmeal mixed with 1 egg white. Make it a thick fine paste and apply this paste on your face and let it get dry. Wash it off with water and a cleanser; follow it up with your moisturizing cream.

5. Get rid of Tan

The Oatmeal tan pack works best for all the skin types. Take 2 tablespoons of grounded oats, add 2 tablespoons of honey, 4 tablespoons of fresh curd and milk. Mix all the ingredients well and make a fine paste. Apply it on your face and leave it for about 15 -20 minutes. Rinse it off with lukewarm water. If you have oily skin, you can substitute milk with water.
