Beginners makeup tips and techniques can help you add grace to your personality, by enhancing your best features. Read on to find the basic rules and tips of Makeup

1. Match your foundation to skin colour

Foundation is the base of your makeup. Try to get the exact shade match to your skin, and this resolves your major process. Invest in good makeup brand foundation. Normal/ dry skin people usually opt for dewy foundation while Oily skinned ones pick Matte foundations. Try and test the foundations before you pick one.  Blend your foundation with your clean fingertips or makeup foundation brush.

2. Conceal the Blemishes

Pick a concealer as close as you can match to your skin tone or a bit lighter if necessary. Using a small pointed brush, dot the concealer under eye circles, spots and blemishes on your face, and blend them into the skin. Concealer can be used alone too, without foundation, following it up with compact.  Concealers are available in liquid, cream and stick forms.

3. Set the Foundation and Concealer with Compact

Using a powder brush or the compact sponge, set the foundation and concealer to give a makeover finish. Setting your face with powder can prevent from ruining your base makeup for long time, besides taking away the shine.

4. Eyebrows frame your Eyes

Eyebrows can define your features and make you look absolutely beautiful. Shape your brows and fill in them with eye pencil or powder with feather strokes. Pencil will give an intense look, while powder gives a softer look. Finish off with a coat of brow gel.

5. Curl the Lashes & Apply Mascara

Use an eyelash curler to curl your lashes. Place the curler at the base of your upper eyelashes and give a gentle push. This lengthens and curls your lashes. Use a Lengthening or Volumizing mascara of your choice. Apply mascara to the upper and lower lashes with the tip of the wands, stroking towards outer corner of eyes.

6. Now Blush

Load your fluffy brush with the blush. Smile, and dab the color on apples of your cheeks, and blend. Blend the blush and remember not to use tons of product. Dust some translucent powder over it to blend the edges.

7. Lipstick or Lipgloss

Prep your lips with a lip balm. Remove the excess by dabbing a tissue. You can pick a lipstick or lip gloss of your choice, from tons of shades and brands in the market. Always try out the shades and pick the one that highlights the fullness of your lips. Add a layer of gloss over lipstick for extra shine.
