1. Drink Fluids

Diarrhea can make you lose the electrolytes, minerals such as sodium and potassium that are vital for your body. You need to keep hydrated and make up for those lost minerals by drinking lemon water, soups, chicken broth, buttermilk, fruit juices et al. Black Tea contains astringent tannins which helps reduce intestinal inflammation and makes you rehydrated.

2. Eat Yoghurt

Yoghurt (kefir) is one of the effective remedies to treat diarrhea caused by oral antibiotics. Yoghurt releases the lactic acid in your intestines, which kills the bad bacteria and replenishes good bacteria, and treats diarrhea altogether. The three common types of probiotics include Lactobacillus GG, acidophilus, and bifidobacteria.

3. Ginger Tea or Chamomile Tea

Ginger tea the anti-bacterial properties and can treat food poisoning and get rid of the cramps and abdominal pain. Drinking Ginger Tea two or three times can cure diarrhea. Alternatively, eating a mixture of ginger and honey can promote the release of gastric juices and ease digestion. Chamomile Tea is also good in treating intestinal inflammation, and the tannins in the tea have anti-diarrheal effect.

4. Starchy Foods

Starchy foods- precooked rice or tapioca cereals can ease your aching tummy and provide you relief from diarrhea. Carrots or cooked white rice are also loaded with nutrients and they are easy on an upset stomach. On the flip side, do not go for French fries or other fries that can aggravate your abdominal pain.

5. Orange Peel Tea

While you may have already heard of several benefits of Oranges, the orange peel can also provide you health and skin benefits. Drink Orange Peel Tea to ease from digestion. Put chopped orange peel into a pot and cover with 1 pint boiling water. Stir it for a while until the water is cooled. You can sweeten it with honey to sip the tea.
