2. Too Much of Alcohol

Daily consumption and heavy quantities of alcohol can damage kidney and liver. Nutritionists say that alcohol is a legal toxin that puts a lot of stress on our kidneys, and it causes heart disease, liver disease, high blood pressure and other medical problems

3. Not Drinking Water Enough

Proper hydration is essential for Kidneys functioning. Individuals who do not drink adequate water are at higher risks of developing bladder and kidney disorders, and it is due to toxins that start accumulating in the blood, as there isn’t enough fluid to drain them through the kidneys. Consume at least ten glasses of water daily.

4. Excess Protein

Over-consumption of protein-high foods can deteriorate kidneys functioning, as it increases the metabolic load and stress on our kidneys. People with kidney diseases are recommended to eat low-protein foods

5. Hold urine

Holding urine is also a bad habit, as it causes complications in the urinary tract and increases the pressure of urine kidneys. “The longer you hold your urine, the bladder can become a breeding ground for bacteria to grow, and this bacteria can spread to kidneys damaging them” says the doctors.

6. Magnesium deficiency

9. Too much sodium

Diet is crucial. Avoid foods with Vitamin D, antacids, refined foods including table salt and sugars and flours, processed meats. Too much of salt intake can increase blood pressure and put a strain on kidneys. Limit your daily consumption of salt to less than 5.8 grams

10. Overeating

Overeating is not only a root to obesity, but also increase the risk of kidney stones by 42%, and cause damage to liver, stomach and other organs that take part in digestion and assimilation of food. Limit your food intake to 2,200 calories a day.
